Education Policy
- The following table shows the present scenario of the technical education in terms of the number of colleges, courses offered and availability of seats as on January 2010.
- To develop and strengthen Technical & Vocational Education at all levels through formal and non-formal mode with need based courses, quality curriculum, improvement in learning resources and promoting IT based teaching-learning initiatives and transparent assessment system.
- To encourage Private Sector participation in establishment of new National Level Technical institutions in emerging areas of Engineering/ Technologies and also to strengthen Industry Institutes interaction for enhancing employability of the youth of the state
- To make Government Technical Institutions of the State self-sustainable in future by way of granting them autonomy at all the levels.
- Need based training of faculty/ trainers/students on the basis of Training Need Analysis.
- Quality control of technical Training through measures like accreditation of the courses running in the institutions within a stipulated time period after its start.
- Ensuring continuous flow of benefits of externally /centrally aided projects and proper monitoring of such schemes / programmes at State level.
- Modernisation of Laboratories and induction of courses in emerging technologies.
